AI Quiz Co ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at aiquizco.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

Email address — when you sign in via magic link.
Game data — scores, streaks, XP, quiz answers, and leaderboard rank.
Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Device info — browser type, screen size, and language preference (no IP logging).

2. How We Use Your Data

Authenticate your account and deliver magic link emails.
Track game progress, display leaderboards, and award badges.
Process Challenger subscriptions via Stripe.
Send transactional emails (login links, payment receipts). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Vercel KV (encrypted at rest, US region). All connections use TLS 1.3. We apply strict CORS, CSP, and rate-limiting protections. Passwords are never used — authentication is magic-link only.

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
Resend — transactional email delivery (Resend Privacy Policy)
Vercel — hosting and serverless functions (Vercel Privacy Policy)
Bunny Fonts — GDPR-safe web fonts (no tracking)

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

5. Cookies

We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your session token and game preferences. No third-party cookies are set. Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout.

6. Your Rights

Access — view your profile data anytime in the app.
Delete — email privacy@aiquizco.com to request full account deletion.
Export — request a copy of your data via email.
Correct — update your username and language in the app.

7. Children

AI Quiz Co is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us for deletion.

8. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you request deletion, all data is removed within 30 days. Stripe retains payment records per their legal obligations.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
